•   1.Development of cyber security and digital awareness content through crowd-sourcing platforms
    • Cybersecurity and digital awareness content will be developed by leveraging crowd-sourcing platforms to harness the collective expertise, creativity, and practical insights of a wide range of stakeholders, including academicians, industry professionals, researchers, students, startups, and cyber security practitioners. This collaborative approach will enable the creation of diverse, up-to-date, and context-relevant content that addresses evolving cyber threats and digital safety challenges.
    • The crowd-sourcing framework will facilitate the submission, review, and curation of various types of content such as articles, infographics, short videos, case studies, simulations, quizzes, awareness messages, and learning modules in multiple languages. Structured guidelines and thematic focus areas (e.g., cyber hygiene, data privacy, online fraud, secure digital transactions, child online safety, and emerging cyber threats) will be defined to ensure alignment with ISEA objectives and national cyber security priorities.
    • A robust quality assurance and validation mechanism involving subject matter experts and designated review committees will be established to ensure accuracy, relevance, accessibility, and compliance with applicable standards. Selected and validated content will be published in ISEA platforms and disseminated via digital channels, outreach programs, and social media campaigns to maximize reach and impact.
  •
    • The outreach programs are designed with clearly defined learning objectives aligned to the goals of ISEA , focusing on cyber hygiene, safe digital practices, data protection, privacy, prevention of cyber fraud, and awareness of emerging cyber threats. Content and delivery methodologies will be customized based on the target audience, including students, educators, government officials, professionals, MSMEs, NGOs, CSC operators, women, senior citizens, and the general public.
    • Half Day awareness workshops will emphasize hands-on learning, practical demonstrations, and scenario-based exercises to build foundational and intermediate cyber security skills. These may include secure use of digital platforms, password management, phishing identification, incident reporting mechanisms, and compliance with relevant cyber laws and policies.
    • Seminars / Webinars will serve as knowledge sharing and thought leadership platforms, bringing together experts from academia, industry, government, and research organizations to discuss current trends, challenges, best practices, and policy perspectives in cyber security and information assurance.
    • All outreach activities will be implemented through the ISEA hub and spoke model, utilizing the network of premier institutions, MeitY autonomous bodies, and collaborating partners. Monitoring, feedback, and impact assessment mechanisms will be integrated to evaluate effectiveness, improve program quality, and ensure continuous alignment with ISEA objectives.
  •
    • The development of multimedia-based cyber awareness resources—including videos, games, and interactive learning modules—is envisioned as a strategic intervention to enhance engagement, retention, and practical understanding of cyber security concepts across diverse segments of the population. This component recognizes that experiential and visual learning tools are particularly effective in communicating complex cyber risks and safe digital practices to users with varying levels of digital literacy.
    • The focus on creating high-quality, engaging, and age-appropriate multimedia content covering key themes such as cyber hygiene, online safety, digital payments security, data privacy, social media safety, cyber fraud prevention, child online protection, and awareness of emerging cyber threats. Content will be designed in multiple formats, including short awareness videos, animated explainers, scenario-based simulations, serious games, quizzes, and interactive modules that encourage active participation and decision-making.
    • Cyber awareness games and simulations will be developed to provide users with real-life digital scenarios, enabling them to identify threats such as phishing, identity theft, misinformation, and online scams in a safe, controlled environment. Gamification elements/ gamified learning —such as levels, rewards, badges, and progress tracking—will be incorporated to motivate sustained engagement and reinforce positive digital behaviour.
      • Videos up to 20 Seconds
      • Videos up to 1 Min
      • Videos up to 3min to 5 min
      • 3 to 4 min cartoon  based videos for kids
    • The multimedia resources will be inclusive and accessible, supporting multilingual delivery, culturally relevant contexts, and compatibility with various digital devices, including smartphones, eLearning platforms, websites and low-bandwidth environments. Content development will align with national cyber security priorities and ISEA guidelines, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and relevance.
    • Development efforts will be undertaken in collaboration with academic institutions, industry partners, creative professionals, and subject matter experts through structured co-creation and validation processes. The finalized content will be deployed through ISEA platforms, educational institutions, outreach programs, mobile applications, and social media channels to maximize reach and impact.
  •   4.Joint development of cyber awareness and cyber security courses for digital users across various demographic segments

Cyber awareness and cyber security courses is designed to systematically equip digital users across diverse demographic segments with the knowledge, skills, and behaviours necessary to navigate cyberspace safely and securely. This initiative emphasizes collaborative course design involving academic institutions, industry partners, training organizations, and autonomous bodies to ensure the content is technically accurate, pedagogically sound, and contextually relevant.

  •

The promotion of cyber awareness through digital channels aims to reach a wide and diverse audience across India, leveraging the power of social media, mobile technology, and online campaigns to instil safe and responsible digital practices. This initiative recognizes that digital platforms are among the most effective tools for mass awareness, engagement, and behavior change in today’s digitally connected society.

  •
    • Awareness forms an integral component of capacity building and skill development initiatives. Beyond imparting technical knowledge and hands-on skills, these programs are designed to instill a deep understanding of cyber risks, safe digital practices, and responsible behavior across all levels of users. Awareness ensures that participants not only gain the ability to implement cyber security measures but also internalize a culture of vigilance and proactive cyber hygiene, which is critical for personal, organizational, and national security.
    • Role-Based Awareness: Tailor awareness content to the participant’s role and exposure level.
      • Students and youth: Online safety, safe social media use, secure passwords, cyberbullying awareness.
      • Professionals and MSMEs: Secure digital operations, data privacy compliance, threat identification, and incident response.
      • Government personnel: Protection of critical information infrastructure, secure communication, regulatory compliance, and policy adherence.
